Best way to start a movie

I've been working on my script in a non-linear fashion, because I can't figure out how i wanted to start it so I want some feedback from some consumers

shyt is a sci-fi action epic, I was thinking of starting off with a huge action scene, or would it be better to let it things build up first.

let me clarify. I've been writing scenes out of order, just as ideas come to my head, but I'm trying to decide on how to the beginning should go.

I was leaning towards a grand action sequence to break it in, then I said maybe I should introduce the main character's first and let the plot build into the first action sequence.

Main character dying (or appearing to die) followed by "2 weeks earlier..." then lead into your story.

I always love those shyts.
