Can someone help out a complete newb. I want to know what the best DAW for sampling is. I would like something that is not too complicated, although I know it will take me a few months to get the hang of it. I'm not trying to be a pro. I just want to flip 80's pop samples like Harry Fraud. I have been looking at this

Also is their any software that allows you to directly import music from iTunes into a DAWs to sample and chop it up?

FL Studio is probably the easiest and fastest to work with.

what are you currently using?

You can download trials of most DAW's the akai software that you would use with the mpc ren/studio/touch which is in the price range of what you listed from amazon can be downloaded and tried, its pretty simple and dope but then again i know my way around akai shyt. you can download ableton, fl....if you are looking to spend that cash you wont really be let down, if you are looking to go the hardware/daw route then an mpc or maschine will work fine.

I would also try to get a cd turntable... ive made many beats on that by just splicing and looping and changing the tempo.
it has the sample pads and cue buttons too. its a good investment but don't dare use it to DJ :martin:

Fruity Loops is pretty nice, i used to use it and it has a lot of tutorials. It's probably the most used DAW. I highly recommend Ableton though, having used both. it's got a superior sampler/time stretch/ mechanics imo. it has a little bit more of a learning curve, but worth it.
