VLC for streaming.

Xbmc plays errthang, Even flac audio files. Best of all.
Shark007 codec pack(works for vista,win 7 and 8 64 and 32 bit) and it allows for windows media player and windows media center to play all audio and video formats, ( if you have a xbox360, you can stream all formats to ur tv, without conversion with the media center app) and it doesn't have any spyware, add-ware, like other packs.
