tough one between NYC and LA. they are both so glorified in film. there are literally THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of films/tv shows/books/comics/cartoons where one of the two is the setting. they're both so romanticized in the media its ingrained in a lot of us at a young age to make the pilgrimage one day to see how it really is. and walking through is streets you may even feel a sense of nostalgia because we've seen it portrayed so many times.

and don't sleep on paris either. the way they market it as a 'romantic' city and fashion capitol is brilliant. seems like its every woman's dream to go there

i'd say London. I never been, but England is pretty grimey from what I've heard and they're still surrounded w/ that fake "white" prestige. :ld:

NYC/LA Prolly next......Paris IS ehhthing you think it would be.....:usure: Dont sleep.

From what's I've seen/heard outside the US, NY is waaaaay better marketed than other US cities, ain't nobody around here (Western europe) talking about going to LA UNLESS they're on that hollywood tip. And other US cities ain't that big at all (Miami is seen as a city with beaches, Europeans can just go to Barcelona or Ibiza for that...hell they'll go to the Carabian before going to Miami, and no one cares about Vegas).

Paris is right up there tho, even within Europe, it's amazing the fascination people have with that city. I've been there a ton of times (and moving there next month) and I can't say it's not earned. In Europe London isn't even that big, I think Americans might actually be more attracted to it than Europeans. I think cities like Barcelona or Berlin are better marketed, and people would rather go there for parties/weather/history.

Oh and Amsterdam too :smoker:

I know its kinda 'cool' to hate on LA and hollywood nowadays but I have a hard time believing euros don't give a fukk out LA.

Probably Dubai and Abu Dhabi and those places

Not because they're the best marketed in absolute terms but relative to how they really are (for a Western visitor... I'm sure those places are livable for their own people)
