Why does everyone hate that Bobby Heenan questioned Hogan's allegiance? He was a heel announcer, thus he had no reason to like or trust Hogan. Also, this was before everyone could say they were a "smark" so no one even gave that statement any credence. Hogan turning heel?
Yeah right. Everyone expected Hogan to save the day, but then be beaten down by the third man and the storyline would go from there. Heenan always gets slammed for that line but people are just looking at things in hindsight.
Beautiful mic work. Good place to debut him as well in Hicksville, Alabama. Foley looked like an ass and that's why the gimmick couldn't continue without some tweaks. He would have eventually gotten cheered in smark cities, especially towards the end of the Bush Administration.
