Here's a new hour long preview of Spark. From the 6min to the 25min mark they demonstrate the already announced Kinect Performance capture...

Microsoft Studios’ Team Dakota had another almost hour long Twitch.tv livestream of their free game creator (or as they call it an open-world digital canvas, as you can do more than just make games) Project Spark which you can watch above. This time they demonstrated the Xbox One version’s performance capture feature using Kinect 2 for around 20 minutes starting from 6 minutes into the video, although the whole first half of the video is of the Xbox One version not just the performance capture demo like last time, the second half is once again the Windows 8 PC version played with an Xbox 360 joypad and features the team creating a fantasy FPS and playing around with a flying goblin game they had made ealier.

Creating Kinect-controlled games with Project Spark?
During the livestream Team Dakota reconfirmed that they’re looking into allowing players to create their own Kinect-controlled games with Project Spark when a viewer asked them about it:

Henri Sterchi (Creative Director): There’s definitely some ideas on the table for us to do that, it’s not our primary focus right now. What we’re really focused on was being able to bring something unique and special with the Kinect and we’ve always kind of focused the project around letting people express themselves and make things that are uniquely you. So honestly we went right after performance capture and motion capture because we thought that was one of the coolest and most unique ways to get somebody to express themself. But it (Kinect controls for games) is something we think we can do in the future and it’s something that, you know, we want to get a lot of feedback from the community so if it’s something important to you let us know and you know we’ll try and prioritise it.

Mike Lescault (Community Manager): And that’s a good point, it’s like there’s a wishlist of a million things the team wants to do and it’s a very caressive project and we’re really trying to get as much as we can just for beta and then finally in for launch, but if you guys have something you really want to see let us know because we want to prioritise to make sure we’re making the things that are gonna really give the most impact on improving the overall experience and allowing you to make really cool and awesome things.

You heard/read the men, go tell Team Dakota you want the ability to create your own/download other people’s Kinect games in Project Spark! Plus don’t forget you can join the Windows 8 beta in October and/or the Xbox One beta in January and give feedback about the game then too by signing up at http://projectspark.com .
