Best file container right now?

Im gonna go with x264 Mp4.

Standard/HD content x264 MP4
HD content 1080p x264 MKV

I don't use MPEG x264 and WMV is outdated.

MKV isn't compatible with everything right now but I say to you and those incompatible devices: get with the times.

As long as MKV can be burned, play on my phone, play on my laptops, and work on my media players and HDMI hook ups, Im good. And if there ever were a problem, I can just transcode it to MP4.
