Post examples of some of the greatest achievements in cinematography that you've ever seen(the movie itself doesn't even have to be good).

L'Eclisse, Hiroshima Mon Amour, 8 1/2, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Days of Heaven, Juliet of the Spirits, Raging Bull, Do The Right Thing, Schindler's List, The Silence, The Tree of Life, Zodiac and Belly are some of my personal favorites.

Oh, and EVERY Andrei Tarkosvky film. Add on ...

2001 A Space Odyssey, a lot of Kubrick Stuff, Barry Lyndon
All of Emmanuel Lubezski's stuff, Children of Men, Gravity, that one flick with Brad Pitt where he's a dad, its called like "life" or something?
Ridley Scott stuff, like Alien, blade runner Gladiator, Kingdom Of Heaven especially, Prometheus
Terminator 2 had fantastic cinematography imo
Lawrence of Arabia

I'll add more if I think of it

The Tree of Life. All of Terrence Malick's films have amazing cinematography.

Also, the most recent new film with impressive cinematography that I've seen was The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Looks like Malick has been working exclusively with Lubezski since "The New World"

It's interesting that Malick and Cuaron, two talented directors both work exclusively with Lubedagawd.

I still need to see Grand Budapest, I ordered it on demand one drunken night and just fell asleep before I could even watch the opening scene.

Cinematography wise in recent times, Prometheus and Gravity have been amongst my favorites.

Yeah, even though I didn't like Dark Shadows, Bruno Delbonnel(he also did Faust) made me wanna watch it because of the cinematography.
