If you wanna go further and be extra literal you can say his best might be his stand-ins for Game of Death.

Also just as an aside cause he was mentioned, Sammo directed one of the best fight scenes ever. Jackie v. Benny is still my GOAT

For me, Bruce Lee was almost like Ryu-ish from Street Fighter. He lived his life, pursuing Martial Arts; physically, mentally, nutritionally and spiritually. The end result was achieving his body's physical perfection. Most martial artists they train in it, and want to showcase the beauty of it. Bruce Lee, he was trying to showcase the world not just that but showcasing humanity that martial arts was the perfect counterpoint to fighting; no need to fight, because you would whip the guys ass to death within a second.

Now if you were to go on the acting aspects, the closet one I would say is Jet Li or Jean Claude Van Damme. Oddly enough JCVD in the 80's (Bloodsport and Kickboxer), because the plot took a backseat to showcase the art of fighting itself, more than using it as a means to fight.

kickboxer? In lees films hes already portrayed as the master of martial arts but bad at other things ala being sociable, being around women, everything else when his fighting aspect comes out thats where he turns the tables. In kickboxer van damme was a headstrong rookie who had little patience and was never really in control of situations.

Bloodsport is agreeable its kind of like an homage to the tournament in Enter the Dragon, plus it features all of bruce lees good friends, even the ones who were in the fake bruce lee joints, like the fat dude he punches in the balls, that guy was in exit the dragon enter the tiger with bruce li

(oh yeah the dude in the red shorts who uses the muay thai kickboxing style fought jet li in another flick it was badass)

arif rahman li who played the young bruce lee is a good shout!

*Millionaires Express had some good action pieces in it. Cynthia with short hair-----)

I still feel she was underused in the industry back then, not working with JC during that era was a big let down man!!
Great asset to the modern wave era of the Kung Fu world!
