Only thing that's going to actually fix these problems is small scale political engagement and collective power networks. Unions, mutual aid organizations, fully transparent non profit community groups. It's power that has to be built from the ground up.
Expecting millionaires who benefit from being paid by billionaires to act against their own interests is childish and stupid. They never have and never will. Votes are meaningless to a congressman who is getting 1 million dollars to speak for 30 minutes at a fundraiser or rally.
Your vote didn't buy them an Armani suit.
Your vote didn't guarantee that their dumb ass kid could go to an ivy league school.
Your vote doesn't secure them a "consultant" position that pays 40k a month.
