Ben Affleck is scheduled to write, direct and star in a new Batman movie, but he says he won’t do it if the script isn’t great. The Guardian reports:

Though the batman costume in the foyer is from Affleck’s caped crusader in Zack Snyder’s messy Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, word is that he will get to direct his own superhero movie, tentatively titled The Batman. “That’s the idea. But it’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”

Ask him why he took the Batman role and he replies with characteristic honesty that he did it for his son. “Sam thinks his dad is Batman,” he laughs. “That’s an incredible feeling.” Everyone wants to be a superhero to their son, although it strikes me that one of the best things about Affleck is that he remains endearingly human.
An official release date for the Batman movie hasn’t been set, but Affleck said in December that a spring 2017 start is possible.

Joe Manganiello will face off against Ben Affleck’s Batman in the film as Deathstroke, after first making his debut in the upcoming Justice League, with additional appearances by Jeremy Irons as Alfred and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon expected to happen as well. DC Entertainment President and CCO Geoff Johns will serve as co-writer (with Affleck) and producer.

Affleck will return to the big screen as Batman first in Justice League, opening in theaters on November 17.

I ain't read the article but if that title is true that's low key great news. I kind of want a soft reboot of this universe anyway. It has started off very rushed and disorganized and now the wheels are in motion
I have faith that he'll be the first batman to not be overshadowed by the villains.
That's hilarious cuz returns, forever and The Dark knight are the best from each director's respective series :pachaha:
