Being an Alpha Male - based on wolves - doesn't mean what you think it means

An Alpha wolf is the leader of a group and works very closely with all the rest of the pack.

He doesn't ever see strangers unless he's trying to kill them

Doesn't go from one pack to another doing shyt. It's basically a family affair.

So if youre a human and you're noticing that you're more macho than other males, that's not being an alpha. The alpha has a pack following him that he never shakes.

So be tough, macho, attractive whatever but it's not even close to the same thing.

There is some writing that suggests that wolves don't even really have an Alpha. Not gonna Google, but I read that somewhere.

You're not an alpha male if you don't listen to Drake.

Plain and simple.
Drake listeners have been found to have higher levels of estrogen. To the point that male born Drake listeners have sky high rates of breast and ovarian cancer. More tune for your holter top

Saying you are an alpha or have those traits doesn't literally means you act exactly like a wolf alpha would. :dead:

Even if wolves don't have an alpha there is a pecking order and top dog. Most communal animals have a top guy. Lions do too... That's how they decide who mates first and all that.

Wolves and dogs IMO have a better overall grasp of group synergy than people

There are way bigger and stronger animals out there but the wolves' strength is in their tenacity and group dynamic

I dunno. So if i wanna be a sailor and i leave my family and friends then im not an alpha? You gotta outgrow people.

Really id say the alpha is the 1 that rolls alone but can get it popping anywhere. Or does that just make you a likeable person?

I consider myself an alpha but theres points i have to strengthen. Lile all men

actually alpha wolves dont even exist. based on very outdated research

But, as he outlined in a 1999 paper, he's since rejected that idea in light of research into the behavior of wolves in the wild.

In nature, Mech writes, wolves split off from their packs when they mature, and seek out opposite-sex companions with whom to form new packs. The male and female co-dominate the new pack for a much simpler, more peaceful reason: They're the parents of all the pups.
  1. Since a wolf pack is usually made up of a male, female, and their offspring, the breeding male is "alpha" by default, since his pack is his children. So there's little sense in calling the head wolf an alpha when it's really just the father of the pack.

  2. It is fair to refer to the top wolf in a pack as the alpha in packs that are unrelated, and "complex packs" where there are multiple breeding partners. Unrelated packs don't happen in the wild though, and complex packs are rare.

The term alpha as far as animals go can never apply to humans. Too many variables. You just have a-type and insecure dominant personalities. Almost everyone who refers to themselves as alphas are insecure dominant. They obsessively must try to convince themselves and others that theyre top dog at all times. Actual A types are natural leaders that people want to follow. They never have to flex muscle.
