When answering a question how long would you say is too long for a response?

For instance: Tell me about a time where you used your leadership abilities?
Tell me about a time you failed...what did you learn about this situation

Is 2-3 minutes fair?

I like to describe the situation I was in and give a background on the situation. That usually takes about 30 seconds. I take a minute maybe to describe how I handled the situation. Another 20 seconds to describe what happened and then some more to reflect on it. I average 2-3 minutes for those kinda questions.

2-3 minutes is fine, I had two interviews this past week, and they ask me all those question, and it took me about 3 minutes to respond to each one.
