This is exactly why I doubt I'll get married and have children. I have unfulfilled goals of being a filmmaker, which doesn't pay a lot of money for most people in the field. I figure if I work in finance for 10 years, save, and then leave finance for the film industry, I'll have enough money to live off and maintain an upper middle class lifestyle for just myself but not for any additional people.
