I'm not even from the Bay but in HS we'd ride around the mall parking lot to Keak da Sneak, Mac Dre, The Jacka ghostriding :mjlol:
We were definitely fw Bay artists when I was coming up.
I dont think it really is that bad:yeshrug:

I need someone from the Bay to explain the hype around this kinda shyt cause as a southern breh I have NEVER understood.

The music alone is the top reason I could NEVER raise my children out there
Hyphy was definitely one of those, “you had to be there” movements.

Music was designed to turn you the fukk up and wild you out.

Hooks like “get stupid, get stupid”, forced you to be yourself and not give AF. 100% party, dance music at its rawest.

Hyphy at a function was a force of nature. Super lit. Women goin berserk. Legendary times

So it was like Crunk Music, only out west?

I still don't get it in terms of rhythm or cadence, but this helps
