I recently watched the first two films, 'Before Sunset', and 'Before Sunrise', which basically follow a couple from when they meet at 23, all the way into their early 40's, which is where 'Before Midnight' picks up. They are 10 years or so into a relationship, unmarried, but with three kids, one from Ethan Hawkes previous marriage, which has turned into an ugly custody situation.

This movie, as the previous follows just a day in their lives, as they finish a 6 week summer vacation in Greece. The first two were very good romantic comedies/dramas/relationship movies...this one was amazing, besides the subtle but beautiful scenery, the acting, writing, dialogue is just fukking great, for lack of a better word. It's basically just about how this couple, two people, view the world, each other, their children, and their lives. But, it's also about male/female dynamics, careers, resentment, infidelity, love, romance, sex...a brilliant movie, in my opinion.

So much ether between the two as they casually converse, and later, viciously argue, with words cutting straight through the others, after ten years they know all the weak spots and achilles heels. I was laughing and stunned at the same time. Perfect adult movie about relationships and their dynamics.
