They can, but accrediting to my own childhood my parents put me in straight Oshkosh and sears outlet clothes for most my childhood. Ain’t get no brands until I was almost in my teens. They didn’t believe in buying expensive shyt I’d grow out of :mjcry:

I feel you bruh. We were middle class coming up & my mom always took us to Payless for our school shoes :mjcry:

But then that rare birthday or Christmas come up when your cool ass auntie/uncle bless you with some classic air forces (uptown’s were the fashion back then), rocked those things until they were tattered :blessed:

It was extremely popular and always got good ratings. They always did the non white shows like this on Nickelodeon. They did the same thing with Taina years later :mjpls:

Taina:noah:

What happened to her?

Had him taunting his bully on some “hit me. HIT ME!!!”

Hit Me!!!

Hit Me!!!!!!

What happened?

I got hit!!! :damn:

I still say that shyt all the time when I get into shyt.

I be expecting folks to get the reference.

Nobody ever does.:mjcry:

Middle class folks can’t have style? :dwillhuh:

In the south they do, especially.

Like, there were a lot of cool ass Black families down there, but once we moved up north, Black folks were herded into the projects in place like Chicago & NYC and that's where all the swag ended up.

That’s interesting & never thought of it like that.

There are lower, middle class & wealthy blacks in Atlanta. Are AAs mostly in the PJs up north?
