Those fan-like ridiculous eyelashes. If I had a dollar for every store clerk I saw wearing them I’d be rich

Cheap see-through leggings

Terrible weaves

Lacefronts and wigs

Weirdly colored hair

super dark skin women wearing fire truck red anything, but esp lipstick

Grown women wearing joggers/sweat outfits/athleisure as regular wear or sneakers on a regular basis when they don’t work out :camby:

Leaning Uggs

Logos on shirts

Short hair on women, I cut mine a ton in 2018 and it looked horrible, never again

I'm gonna have to disagree with black women in bright red lipstick. I think dark skin women look phenomenal when we wear bright red lipstick.

I'm not a fan of fake eyelashes that are hella long or fake looking.

Also the drawn on eyebrows are not the wave.

i see no issue with ds+red, short hair, some athleisure, logos, wigs/weaves, odd hair colors etc

i can only speak for trends on myself.

for myself, stop wearing my hair up

I don't mind these trends...
I find myself either in awe of the confidence or...the delusion.

I do think that women should tailor each trend to her face shape, hair texture, shape of body, etc. though. Not just wear something b/c it's in style.

I totally co-sign this, I wish more women would pay attention to stuff like this.

The red reminds me of those awful Mammy caricatures.

example of what I’m talking about with the lipstick, I find it super unflattering:

this sounds like more of a you issue than a ds woman issue , and i mean no offense, just being honest

cuz it sounds like the only thing keeping you from associating DS women as mammies is red lipstick, which is a problematic way to see a group
