I didn't
but I could understand if someone did at the ending. My opinion. Hushpuppy (the Black girl) def. has room to grow as an actress. But I think it's more the fault of the script. Her "physical" acting so to speak was good. The father was a good actor. Probably the best in the film to me. Def. is a weird movie but not in a bad way. Sorta reminded me of the Road except it was father/daughter.
As far as message of the movie. Kinda weird. I don't really get why they chose a girl. He basically raised his daughter to be a boy. I get the whole survivor aspect. This was def. a good film. And hopefully they will make more Black led films this way.
