i'm know the the branched chain game, what ever i've had so far has only been in in whey shakes

lol he must have been on a lot of it.

I read most of it will get used for energy, so I only use it when I'm doing long physical activity (fball/bball/running)

I see people take bcaa's and still use whey?

Some lady body builder in my gym said she uses hers pre work out on her fasted cardio days only.

Another ibf pro friend of mine said before or during his work outs.

Its all based on diet so effects will vary on each person. BCAA's are in your foods and whey protein, so if you have a proper diet you can reap all the benefits without having to buy them separately. For example, the female bodybuilder is going into a fasted workout so she may use them on those days to get in the supplementation for recovery. On other days she will probably tell you she doesn't use it because she already got those BCAA's in her food or protein shake.

I've been taking cellucor amino powder, and it has helped a lot with recovery. My jobs fukks me up, so adding a workout to that is daunting enough.
