Out of all the sports, basketball seems to have lost the most would-be superstars from injuries. Even if the players recover they might never be the same after those injuries just because of how the game is played and how it cripple their elite athleticism.

Greg Oden, Brandon, Yao, Penny, Rose, Grant Hill, TMac, Livingston, Amare, Baron Davis, TJ Ford(probably not superstar level, but the guy was amazing), Arenas. shyt even goes back to the Bernard King days/Bowie.

Hell this goes all the way back to the 50's with the likes of Maurice Stokes.

So many potential great, or greater, careers have been robbed from us and I can't think of any other sport that has had it as bad as basketball when it comes to this. I realize there's injuries in every sport, but coming back from ACL/MCL/other leg injuries just isn't the same as it is in basketball due to the strain jumping puts on your joints and ligaments.

Injuries are part of the game.

Not hating on basketball at all. But out of all those guys you listed. None of those names on your list were more significant to "greatness" then the career ending injury to Bo Jackson.

Not sure if your :flabbynsick: like me. But Bo could of went down as the best athlete ever.
