Look, im all for tradition and history of the game, but that had to be the dumbest field in the history of baseball. How this field was allowed to be played on in the professional level, ill never know. The extra wide foul area, the outfield shape, the stands above the outfield..:camby:

glad this shyt isnt around anymore

Baseball is the most ridiculous sport in existence when it comes to their fields. How do you have a standardized sport, but each park has a different dimension? :martin:

Imagine Golden State and Houston having courts with 28 foot three point lines and 110 feet long or the Pats having 80 yard fields that were 65 yards wide.

Nah. Not many remnants of the baseball park left. They recently redid the staircase tho.

Area is huge jects with Rucker Park across the street. I heard back in the day you could see Yankee Stadium from the Polo Grounds with the elevation from the BX to Harlem. Ebbets Field became projects too

Nope, there's literary no sign that a baseball stadium was once there... same goes for Ebbets Field (Old Brooklyn Dodgers stadium now apartment buildings). Every trace of those stadiums was wiped away except for the name.

However part of the subway shuttle line to that used to serve Polo Grounds is still there, but you can't see it without trespassing.

Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium were across the Hudson from each other,i read that the POlo Grounds was designed for baseball SMH.

It looks like a football stadium that transitioned into the home of the Giants....
