I had an author here before that had two novels about this topic. It’s a common theme in immigration. I know a lot of Africans, including in my family, that come here and leave kids/wives behind. It’s a sad price that’s paid to name a better way.

Yeah, I related right away to the story. Because of the way circumstances ended up, I am the sibling that spent the least amount of time bonding with Mom. There's been a bit of a detachment for that reason.

But people migrate and have to do what they do. Easier to set up and establish yourself in a new country and THEN send for your children, then to come here with full family.

Not really a big fan of fiction, but do you remember the name of those authors or the titles?
