Those violent clampdowns on Occupy protesters weren't just planned by US authorities—they were carefully coordinated with the big banks themselves, writes Naomi Wolf at the Guardian. At times the FBI, police, and the Department of Homeland Security even merged with banks into a "monstrous whole" called The Domestic Security Alliance Council. Drawing on newly released FBI documents, Wolf argues that authorities were "working for and with banks to target, arrest, and politically disable peaceful American citizens."

Among the findings:

FBI officials conferred with banks to share information on Occupy Wall Street protesters gathered by private security firms.

The FBI shared plans to crush Occupy events with organizations targeted by the protesters.

Threats to assassinate OWS leaders are still redacted despite standard FBI practice of informing political leaders who are under a threat of violence.

A request by The Partnership for Civil Justice Fund prompted the release of the documents—"a groundbreaking scoop that should once more shame major US media outlets (why are nonprofits now some of the only entities in America left breaking major civil liberties news?)," writes Wolf. Not surprising. Marvel 2099 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The world of 2099 is a cyberpunk dystopia, similar to the world of Blade Runner. North America is a corporate police state ruled by a few huge megacorps, most notably Alchemax, which owns the private police force the Public Eye, which primarily punishes criminals' bank accounts.

In the 2099 Universe, the monetary currency system uses implants commonly known as cards, which are credit ID implants. There are aluminum cards, gold cards, and platinum cards. Another type of card are black cards, which give the owner unlimited funds and law immunity. There is also a status known as decred, which denies access to many public places, such as hospitals, hypermarkets, and shopping malls.

wow :snoop: i guess the banks run the fbi now too. that famous quote from thomas jefferson is 100% truth.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I have to agree, big international banks are our biggest threat actually, not muslim extremists, or rogue states trying to gain nuclear weapons, or dictators engaging in civil war.

the average person has no idea how money is made, and they have no idea that the fed reserve is really privately owned. I always try to tell people when they bring it up, but then they dont even listein. so many people asleep out here, i cant believe we're letting shyt like this happen.

These people had power even back in Jefferson's time though. The Founding Fathers were all wealthy and protected their interests. Case in point:

Too many people are unaware that the famous promise in the American Declaration of Independence — to protect "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" — was actually a last-minute edit. Thomas Jefferson had originally written, "Life, liberty and property," a phrase that more closely resembles our founding fathers' commitment to limited government influence on the people.
While the other authors nixed property and went with the more pleasant-sounding pursuit of happiness, Jefferson's choice of words proves prophetic for many New Yorker's today.

apparently thinking along these lines is 'conspiracy theory' though.

there's a reason I want to get out of America within this coming year. Things like this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Do you travel often? Are you bothered by the 'enhanced' security at the airports? The giant cancer-inducing machine (backscatter xray) and the 'enhanced' pat downs where they feel on your genitals.

For me that's the reason I want to leave this country. I see many people being somewhat accepting of those things which will only lead to the government becoming more abusive in the future. Perhaps by doing away with the 2nd amendment and implementing highway check points which will also have 'enhanced' security. I can see these things coming into fruition in the near future.

Those surprised by this should be continued to be taken advantage of at this point. This happens on a daily basis and this is somewhat supposed to be SHOCKING news to me? :childplease:

The information is all out there for us...the ignorance of the people in this country is disgusting.

Don't forget the government archiving everyone's email. The drones they've already got and have authorized more of to fly over American cities.
