While talking with the Esquire Magazine, Christian Bale revealed that he was never offered Bond before Daniel Craig as well as the Batman role before Ben Affleck, "No. I’ve never heard of that. Equally untrue about them coming to me for Batman, before Ben Affleck." He also told if he thinks it was the right decision for the role as the caped crusader to be passed on, "Yes. I think it’s the right decision. People were talking about this obscene amount of money they were saying was thrown at me." He then tells that he was never in talks to play the Dark Knight one more time after the final film in the Nolan trilogy (The Dark Knight Rises), "No. I didn’t have a single conversation with anybody about ever playing the role again." So that denies all the old rumors by certain sources (Latino Review), that Christian Bale was set to return as the Bat.

What if Christian Bale reprised his iconic role as Bruce Wayne for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? According to the noughts' Batman himself, he was jealous of Ben Affleck's casting as the Dark Knight, and admits he may have wanted to portray the character again.

Speaking to Empire Magazine (via ComicBookMovie.com), Bale gave his account of hearing the news of Ben Affleck being cast as Batman, and recounts, "I've got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, 'Oh go on... Let's do another.'"

Bale goes on to describe the moment of regret he felt when he realized the Gone Girl star would replace him as cinema's Caped Crusader, saying, "So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour."

How do you feel about the idea of Christian Bale's Batman meeting Henry Cavill's Superman? Could we see this play out someday in a Crisis On Infinite Earths movie? (Dare to dream, Bale-believers…)

A Crisis on Infinite Earths movie? :noah:

Imagine all the piffery if they included the TV heroes in it :noah:

I cant imagine shyt till we see how consistent and well this current plan plays. They already misfired with Green Lantern which low key was initially supposed to start their Universe (funny how its like thats been retconned or everyone seems to have forgotten that). Then its like after Avengers, DC panicked and changed a Man Of Steel sequel to a Batman vs Superman movie to "oh fukk it, lets just make a Justice League movie before Justice League" movie.

We need to see how this all plays out first

he's having that michael keaton birdman crisis 20 years early lol

I don't think Keaton ever really regretted not doing that third Batman movie considering how that franchise turned out. He might've regretted it because WB low-key blackballed him for a bit so he could only star in really shytty movies and his fame collapsed.

What makes you say that?

When Green Lantern was first announced, and even after it was made, there was no mention of a "DC Universe." :comeon:
