TLDW: if you jail criminal bankers the economy get's better.
Cenk is correct - conventional wisdom is that we didn't go after our bankers to protect the economy. The real reason is that going after our bankers would have resulted in half the current and former members of congress being exposed as well. Not to mention drying up their steady stream of campaign donations. They were equally complicit in this mess and were just covering their own asses.
