I don't know what to think. It looks more like effort than anything. We were winning some games earlier in the year when the 3 wasn't falling which was good to see. We lost to the Pacers tonight but beat them the other night by like 30+

I think it's effort/boredom.

This team has been dogging it all month. Constantly getting out hustled. Jayson has reverted back to constant whining. Al has looked like a traffic cone on defense. Holiday has been hurt, but him and White have been sub par on defense and been careless with the ball on offense. We got a tough road trip coming up, playing like this we will get embarrassed. Every team sees the Celtics as a measuring stick and gives us their best when we play. Our guys need to nut up and play with some damn heart.

I got a eerie feeling that this year is the same as 2023, his first year as coach

Terrible shot selection, sub-par defense, Al Horford running the paint being a statue on defense while the ideal rim protector isn't playing much (Timelord/Porzingis)

And Mazzulla is already starting his "Well the defense is still Top 5" statements at postgame interviews just like 2023 :snoop::francis:

December was the worst month this team has had in like 2 or 3 years. A lot of injuries, haven’t had the same edge defensively and a bunch of guys seem to be slumping on offense

We open January with a four game road trip against Minnesota, Houston, OKC and Denver. That’ll be the true test if this actually just a coasting/effort issue or there’s reason to be concerned

It's way too early. I agree on the road trip. But look around the NBA. Only the Cavs and Thunder are red hot and we shouldn't be worried about either of them right now.

Long term I still think health is the biggest roadblock to repeating, so nothing has changed on that aspect

Great bounce back win against the worst team in the NBA

But this team really needs another veteran wing off the bench. The non Tatum/Brown minutes have been brutal. Hauser's inconsistency is really glaring, this team can't afford to overplay Tatum and Brown alot of minutes to cover for Hauser

Oshae Brissett is kind of missed to be honest. And maybe the Celtics can bring back Lonnie Walker from Europe. If not, they got to look at a trade to get a veteran wing

O’brissi looks enticing ⏸️ but Jordan Walsh looks like he coming for that spot by years end.

I agree Jordan Walsh has alot of potential, and he's getting better each game. But I feel he might be a year away from being a real contributor

He still has to add strength and he's sometimes like a deer in the headlights currently
