az doesn't really use metaphors or word play, he's pretty straight foward with dope multies, but his lyrics aren't as poignant as nas's.

who killed has better wordplay than any az song, interms of entendres/double meanings.

jay-z is better than both with word play.

I agree. He's not as creative as Nas, but not many are. But still, songs like Fan Mail, Never Change, Bedtime Story, etc. show that he's capable of penning narratives. I personally enjoy AZ's music more than Nas', but not by much, as they're both in my top 5 DOA.
