Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez are reportedly planning a lavish wedding in Aspen, surrounded by close friends and high-profile guests this Christmas season, according to the UK-based news outlet Sun.
“They’re getting ready for a winter wonderland wedding in Aspen this Christmas. They’re planning an extravagant ceremony and are sparing no expense in creating a white Christmas affair. He loves her and would marry her tomorrow, the only thing holding up the wedding is his, and her, lawyers," a source close to the couple told the Sun.
The report said that the couple, who are often spotted around Aspen, Colorado, find the town to be the “perfect location" for their wedding.Jeff Bezos, 60, holds the position of the world’s second-richest individual, with his net worth estimated at $235 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. This year alone, his wealth has surged by $57.7 billion. Lauren Sanchez, 54, previously established her career in media as a reporter and anchor on major networks, including The View, KTTV, and Fox 11.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez began a relationship that became public in 2018 while both were still married. Bezos was then with his wife, Mackenzie Scott, and Sanchez was married to Patrick Whitesell, a prominent Hollywood agent and businessman. At the time, Sanchez was reportedly already in the process of separating from Whitesell. News of their relationship eventually led to Bezos’ highly publicized divorce from Scott.
Since going public with their relationship in 2019, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have often appeared together at prominent events.
In May 2023, Bezos proposed to Sanchez during a vacation in southern France aboard his super-yacht, presenting her with a $2.5 million pink diamond ring.
