Ayo, hair people... explain this

This pic is from Ethiopia. Its supposed to be showing off the headband (which is dope...) but how do they get the braids so close together???
I've had ten different chicks do my cornrolls and there is always space between them.
I'v never seen braids that clean and compact in my life over here in the US.

Take a rat tail comb and make the braids really small and thin. My mom used to do them braids for me when I was little.

Maybe the chicks doing my hair was just lazy.
I used to have like around 12 - 15 cornrows... maybe 20 if i went through on the weekend... but the girl in the picture has like 50 rows.

Your arms get tired after a while. I do my own corn rows but I take breaks in between if I have the energy but I mostly just do French braids lol.
