Not that I ever expected to get another season, but Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab says that Marvel isn’t making WandaVision Season 2.

“It’s like a crazy world,” Diab told SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar). “Even with the successful shows, like WandaVision, they’re not doing season two. She jumped into a film, maybe she’s [Wanda Maximoff] going to come back or not. I don’t know. And that’s exciting.”

WandaVision was conjured by Marvel after a year-and-a-half drought of MCU content. Fans ate it up and delighted in the show’s approach to a variety of sitcom styles across decades of entertainment. WandaVision also packed an emotional punch that left fans of Marvel’s marquee couple (Wanda and Vision) reeling with heartbreak. While some were clearly hoping for another round of episodes to continue the story, it sounds as if there will not be a WandaVision Season 2. Thankfully, Wanda’s MCU journey will continue in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

More here: WandaVision Season 2 isn't going to happen, according to Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab

I doubt any of these Disney + shows of established characters get season 2’s. they used them to basically just bridge the gap like a phase 3+ and moving forward it’ll probably be more original characters like Moon Knight that wouldn’t work as well in movie form.

They already announced that they plan on doing a scarlett witch movie in the future. why would they bother with a season 2? Her character got popular after that show, that they plan on pushing her as the primary female face of the mcu going foward. She's beyond a tv series now.

Unsurprising. For the time being, the character doesn't have a story that is best served by that format.

Going forward, it seems like these series are going to be used to introduce characters and concepts in between movies, which I'm fine with. For example, Eternals is probably better as a six to 10 episode series instead of a feature length movie.

They could totally get away with a Vision series if they wanted, though.

What If is probably relatively cheap for them to produce so that makes sense and Loki has a story that seems to be weaving everything together. Scarlet Witch, Cap America(Falcon) are characters that can carry movies

They said that before the show was even over. Hell the lead actress herself said it:dwillhuh:

I guess they needed to say it again to kill any rumors or hopes

crazy Marvel fan pages create their own narratives online and the regular fans run with it as well. MCU people have to officially kill rumors as a fulltime job :mjlol:
