The budget on these films must be 500M+ :dead:

When your movies make 2 billion, you can afford them to be.:whew:

But like the article says, Cameron's shooting the two sequels back to back which means it falls under one production and that saves a lot of unnecessary costs (see the original LotR trilogy).

Still, the big stickler here is that it requires a projection system I suspect not many theaters will have even by 2020. The big question here is if Cameron for all of his influence can push theaters to make that switch.:patrice:

Avatar in general seems like a wack concept to me.

But has the guy ever made even made an average let alone garbage movie?

I'll be there. I didn't give two shyts about the story in the last Avatar. In IMAX that movie was stunning. :wow:
