After going platinum they got more creative control from LaFace, acquired their own studio and got music and studio equipment. Big Boi started playing live and 3000 became a vegetarian and stopped drugs. This is one of the most laid back albums I've ever heard. And they, along with Organized Noize, produced the entire album. Not one song on here is skippable. Sold 2 million copies. Its innovative, well produced, lyrical, thoughtful. Not a bunch of duck tales about killing nikkas, big chains, smoking, drinking, clubbing, and hoes. Just personal chill laid back good ass music.

its funny if you listen to the last song on each of their albums it kinda gives you a preview of what direction their next album is gonna be like:

D.E.E.P. (southernplaya.....): a more concious direction -------> ATLiens
13th Floor/Growing Old (ATLiens): a more spiritual direction -------> Aquemini
Chonkyfire (Aquemini): a more rock/multi genre like direction -------->Stankonia

This album is a true certified classic. Even the songs that didn't make the album are classic and would've fit perfectly on the album:
