Been teaching mine since two. Had a piggy since birth. Has savings and college fund.

I’m growing her piggy rápido!!!

I want her to identify cash and coin, she knows cards and digital forms a little bit.

I’m a lil messed up because I don’t want her to be thinking we can just spend spend. I heard her say something about money and it was in a way that struck me like hell nah we not like that.

I don’t want it to have a negative effect.

At a younger age I tried to get them to understand the concept of "impulse buying" by encouraging them to sit with something for an entire week, if you still want it at the end of the week instead of something new, it's worth you trying to get it.

As far as real financial lessons, around the age of 10. My youngest at soon to be 13, has a respectable stock portfolio - if he's learned nothing else about credit, paying yourself first, etc - he understands the benefit of putting your money to work for you.

They've had their own debit cards that they can use to purchase things for years and that we can monitor and control through Greenlight.
