Wednesday I had

Serving and a half of Greek yogurt
Small apple
Serving of peanut butter
Serving of Granola
Total: 545 calories

lunch (this was after lifting and bjj)
2 Chalupas
1 crunchy taco

total: 1,130 calories

snack:
Traders Joes Brocoli and Kale salad, without the sunflower seeds

total: 210 calories.


At this point I was at like 1885 calories then I went to work.

had a burrito and two tacos smh. I’d estimate that at like 1,200 calories.

That’s like 3100 calories, minus 400 from the exercise. I’d be at like 2,700 for the day.


Before though it was a lot of beer and then eating whatever I wanted with a lot of sitting down

Don’t waste your time subtracting exercise burned cals from your totals

You gotta start with just walking and cutting out the drinks. From your post, I see it as:

210lbs was your stable/fighting weight. You added daily drinking and ballooned to 310. Logic would follow to subtract what made you jump from 210 to 310.

I'm not saying stop drinking altogether but set a day of when you'll drink and put a cap on it. Liq is nice yes but it is so easy to mess up your diet because of it. 3 Coronas is 450 calories. On a standard 2K diet, it's easy to mess up when you don't even factor in food.

The silver lining is at your bigger size the weight in the initial parts should fall off easier with just walking and cleaning up your diet. As you drop lbs you can incorporate more intensive exercises.

But ideally, you wanna use 2022 to really get your weight underwraps. Set up a good foundation and lifestyle that you can maintain for the rest of your 30s.

Pre covid I was about 210, working my way down to 185. Covid happened. Gyms closed. I starting drinking again. Drank almost every day of 2021. Over time it became an all day thing. I gained 100 pounds.

Now I’m here, 20 days sober. Down to 306.8, from 310 at the beginning of the month.

At this weight exercise is really difficult and the smallest amount will leave me exhausted.

Most frustrating part is that I don’t eat as bad as you’d think for someone my size. I don’t drink any of my calories, try to avoid sugar, drink a bunch of water, mostly eat at home.

What exercises or programs can you guys recommend for a :flabbynsick: breh that can barely jog for 7 minutes :snoop:

The other thing that caught my eye here is the low level of protein. From a dieting prospective you should make that a priority with every meal. 25-30 grams minimum and not cobbled together like Greek yogurt and peanut butter getting you to that range.

Take baby steps and SLOWLY up the intensity...

Buy those no calorie bcaa/electrolyte drinks and put it in your water whenever you get a craving...

You should get all that off by fall

You cannot outrun a crappy diet. Find out your body type; mesomorph, endomorph, etc. Some people respond more to calories while other bodies respond more to carbs.

Try to seek out healthier options. Fast food is mostly empty nutrients created to temporarily satisfy hunger and produce unhealthier future cravings. It's so bad for you.

All of this. Once you ween off fast and processed foods and start eating more whole foods your entire mood changes.

This is why I really tell folks to take up cooking. Find the foods you like to eat, then look to swap out some the ingridients with healthier options.
