the 1st one came out in 1972 and the 2nd one in 1974 and these 2 movies only continue to get better and better with time :mjcry:

i was just flickin' through channels and i see it's on bbc right now :blessed:

now i own the dvd like everybody else, but whenever it's on tv and i got time to watch it, i watch it like i don't even own the movie :wow:

1 and 2 collectively are the greatest film of all time accompanied by the greatest scores :obama:

i have to agree here.... this movie has something special, every time you watch it, it drags you in somehow.
Coppola made these movies perfect, the studio didn't want to cast Brando because he was arrogant and they did not want to cast Pacino because he was to short (they wanted to cast robert redfort as michael). They wanted to film the movie in Hollywood, Coppola convinced them to film it in new york, Las vegas, Italy etc. I cant imagine what dis movie would have been if the studio had it's way.
Coppola was in the zone in the 70s, anyway these 2 movies are perfect

shyt, i keep saying "this movie" i forgot that they are 2 movies. But to me the first 2 parts feel like 1 movie not 2 :ohlawd:

I agree as well. Just so much depth in the story. The way it's filmed is incredible.m

What yall know about driving with the windows down listening to the

how al pacino aint win oscars. the most iconic roles in film history. i will say a film i saw for the first time recently, was On The Waterfront. i know it was always held in high regard but i just wasnt really into old ass films, but that was a very powerful film. For marlon brando to be the main guy in probably the 2 best acting clinics in film history. salute that man.

but yeah, the 2 godfathers are immaculate. coppolas style isnt flashy at all, but its still a lot of artfulness to the way the story unfolds and the camera moves are elegant as hell. you dont notice the flashy shyt but when it happens, damn.
