Sounds like he's making parts of the story up. Looks like the material alone would cost him close to what he said the total cost quote from Home Depot guy was.
And by posting pic on social media, anybody from his town could snitch him out for not getting permit for the project.

Deck story isn't real, but lets be 100% clear: if a landlord tried to get away with this, clapping them should get a not guilty verdict in court. Obviously don't kill them, just wing the mothafukka at least. Anyone who has lived in the hood with some slimy slumlords would probably agree.
