As A Knicks fan, I've come to acceptance with the fact that

The New York Knicks will not win anything of significance for the next 10-15 seasons. I don't know whether this deserved a thread or not, but I NEED other Knicks fans to lie to me and tell me I'm wrong lie to me but tell me that the team is headed in the right direction and will win the Finals in the few upcoming seasons; that we won't be a glorified version of Mike Woodson's Hawks squads that were perennial 2nd round exits.

With that said, no I'm not heading to become a BK Nets fan; the Knicks are my team and I'm gonna follow them and root for them regardless, but fukk it...my team ain't winning shyt

Donnie did a great job cleaning up the mess that was there by 2010. But then, when they lost to Miami in 2010 free agency, and just had to live with what was left.

Would you have preffered to keep your assets and not trade for Melo?

I gotta agree with the OP, until the Knicks get serious and start building thru the draft instead of just trying to rebuild thru free agency we are doomed .

Yeah we got some talent right now, could we make a run weirder shyt has happened. I look at all the pieces and it just looks like they are trying to throw as much talent on the team and see what sticks as opposed to having a plan.

Donnie Walsh had done an excellent job up until that point, and we had a great squad...almost a complete squad with a bunch of young and up-and-coming players. Donnie knew Melo wanted to come to NY and was holding out for FA or a better trade proposition from Denver, but Melo threated NY with the "I'll sign an extension with the (then) NJ Nets" and Dolan got scared and overruled Donnie Walsh and pulled the fukking trigger getting rid of BOTH Wilson Chandler (who was the best Knick not named Stoudemire at the time) and Danilo Gallinari.

Pretty much this, this team is still a disaster as far as i'm concerned. Unfortunatly I think were gonna have to ride out the Melo Stoudmire era without anything to show for it. Hopefully they can build properly after that.
