Arrested Development- Am I missing something?

Watched 3 episodes so far and I might have smirked here and there but overall? I think the term disappointing would be an understatement to describe my initial thoughts of this show

Is is worth continuing? Does it get funnier?

Im not understanding the hype and where is the laugh track in the background?

Don't know your sense of humor but yes, it is a good show. Will Arnett and Dvid Cross especially.

I watched it because this girl I liked watched it. Crazy characters but not enough lol for me. Seinfeld was way funnier white humor to me.

anyway if you dont like it after the first three episodes its not for you. that style of humor is already present and it doesnt change much

If you can’t catch onto the little things that make the show what they are it isn’t for you. Nothing to do with the fans

I wouldn't necessarily say that because the show's humor relies so much on callbacks. While it certainly is a particular type of humor the hilarity of it all really comes from how the running jokes slowly evolve as the show progresses. I at least vividly remember that it took some episodes before the show clicked for me.

It's probably the best comedy to me. Or at least...the first 3 seasons. I only saw S4 once, before it was re-edited, and I haven't watched the other seasons. It's incredibly smart and well layered. The callbacks and inside jokes just make it even better. Very quotable too.
