Argo is one of the best movies of the year..

Real shyt...Argo is by far one of the best movies of the year....just saw it today and Ben Affleck did a GREAT job in this flick...even through I knew it was a true story it had me at the edge of my seat..

Especially when they were in the airport..and when they were on the plane I was literally like ..even though I knew they would escape...the tension had me like

My mom actually works with one of the ex-hostages and he told her straight up that they made it by the SKIN of their teeth...when u you see this movie..u will know that he ain't lying..

This better get Oscar nods..

...but the "close calls" with the tickets and with the phone call rang incredibly hollow to me. Just felt like generic beats from any other thriller. I also didn't really care about any of the characters......at all.

Well made movie, but I like several movies more this year.

I somewhat agree w/HHR. It was a really good movie, but it felt like something was missing. I'd definitely recommend anyone to go watch it though.

I get that....and whether it played out exactly like that doesn't really matter. In the film, it felt cliche and contrived.

Like I said though...still a very good film that I'd definitely recommend. I just think the Oscar talk is a bit overboard.

I started to like the movie more during the credits though...showing stills from the film compared to shots from the actual events

I thought it was good, not great... lacked any sort of suspense because you already knew what was going to happen; it was just a matter of HOW rather than IF... Looper was much more entertaining IMO
