guilty. 90% of the time my triple shuts itself off. sometimes its to download games but mostly b/c I think I'll return to it soon and being lazy....

My brother has been doing this since he got his Xbox back in like 09 or something.

And he has never gotten the red ring of death.

I took care of my Xbox and that shyt RROD'd within like 2 years.

His is left on all the time, with games stacked on top of the vents, and he even leaves games on pause for hours on end.

And it's still kickin

If you can keep your house cool & the console doesn't have problems overheating, leaving it on 24/7 like a cable box probably isn't that bad

I keep it on only when i use it, but i do leave my desktop computer on forever unless theres a power outage. Couldnt tell you why i do one but not the other. A friend of mine leaves his TV on 24/7. Weirdest thing ever. He hasnt shut it off in like 2-3 years i think.

back when red rings and yellow lights were going around there was a rumor/speculation that turning it off and on contributed to making those problems happen so I just stopped turning my triple off. Other than the wi-fi dropping out after about 3 weeks its good.

Nah. If I'm not playing something, or chatting on XBL party chat, it's off. If I gotta DL something, I got background DL's on so it'll shut off afterwards.

Obviously the same goes for PS3 except if I'm downloading something, I gotta leave it on.
