Are we using dashcams in 2020?

Being a Black man right now I think I need one for my car.

I'm thinking front/inside because of the current climate or maybe front/rear.

Any suggestions?

nikkas just need to get Bodycams as well. They're as cheap as $30 (maybe even cheaper) on Amazon. A lot of dashcams turn off when you get pulled over and cops tell you to turn the car off. That's one of the drawbacks with mine. However with a bodycam, you can clip it on your shirt therefore you won't be holding a camera phone all in their faces further pissing them off. And there might be a loophole to any law in certain states where recording police are illegal. Cuz technically if you're wearing a bodycam, it's not your fault if you get pulled over while it's recording. You can say that you always wear a bodycam on you. Also, there's certain glasses with cameras on them as well. They're probably more expensive but they're worth it.

Autogaurd for my phone, but don't leave it on your windshield during the summer. It will make your phone overheat.

Ultradash is what I got now. I think I got it for like $50. You could get something better though. If you know an uber driver I would probably ask one of them to see what they use.

Well it doesn't have to be on 24/7 , just be able to work off the charger. Me particular dashcam doesn't stay on unless the charger is plugged in
