I've been on the edibles these past few days excuse me. I was watching the 25 year anniversary for Def Jam, and noticed the political climate is eerily similiar to the 90s. There has been an uptick in black programming(Black-ish,Carmichael Show, The Mayor) the last few years and it those are only taste testers. Are we in store for a renaissance with the success these shows have shown? Where are the John Singletons, Spike Lee's of our generation?

From looking at this list, I would say no. I only watch one of these and that's Atlanta. I am going to sample "She's Gotta Have It" though.
