I was really surprised with how that series turned out. After the 2nd round of the playoffs i had the spurs beating everyone. Their teamwork and ball movement is a thing of beauty. OKC really really surprised me
Ya i was surprised to i swear those OKC guys weren't missing a damn thing with us at all. Come face MIAMI they couldn't even buy a shot at all.
It seemed like they played better against the SPURS than MIAMI.
Came down to this though OKC played SAN ANTONIO BALL to beat us and did it better with a younger more atheltic team.
But i ain't gonna take nothing away from MIAMI though they had WAY BETTER D THAN MY SPURS even i can admit to that. SO MIAMI THE CHAMPS CUZ THEY WERE THE BETTER TEAM
I love and have mad respect for the V.I. brethren Timmy Duncan (nohomo) but I don't see the Spurs doing this again.
Tim Duncan is tied with Olajuwon as the best big man I've seen play. YES BETTER THAN PRIME SHAQ IMO. But age and wear and tear is starting to creep on homie.
The Spurs scouting teams always comes through for them in the draft but there is only so much you can do when your core players (Timmy and Ginobili) are starting to deteriorate. Parker will keep them relevant but i don't see another ECF and final in their near future unless they reload quick.
BTW Riley needs to find a way to lure some of the Spurs scouts to Miami
fukk we just lost Ferry to the HAWKS though. But um im a spurs fan and they do surprise me how they end up playing but realistically We need to just keep getting YOUNGER and get Bigger Front court. Stop relying on MANU and TIM there is only so much they can give you. Train the younger cast to come up and play better that way when TIM AND MANU have really good games its bonus points for us.
Rumor is SPURS might trade 3 players to grab a top 10 pick though i think i heard it was blair, green and tiago though but its just hear say so don't quote me on that.

you guys have just an amazing ability to find stars out of nobodies, I think that credit goes to the coaching/eval staff, the spurs are another team that always retools, Kawhi Leonard is an amazingly great find, parker good for the forseeable future, timmy still shows flashes of his old self (altho id start looking for a replacement), and manu is manu, when he's on, he's one of the best and every other time he's probably injured haha :P

I agree, i was telling everyone at work, (even tho we're lakers fans) that watch out the spurs are gonna crush everyone, and sure enough they were, watching them dismantle teams makes me wonder if they got a bit complacent, at any rate, i had them pegged for beating everyone, and watching them play the first few rounds was like watching art, a thing of beauty, the way the ball moved and their offensive sets in the half court
OKC is going to be a beast for the foreseeable future, i only see them getting better, the old guard (lakers/spurs) better try and keep up with the joneses or we're going to be seeing a lot more of OKC in the finals
now THAT being said.. with a lil luck, and better focus, and a few plays dif here and there, the lakers easily coulda been up 3-1 on OKC...there were a few games we shoulda totally won that we let slip away
