I ask cuz I jus seen this Aaron Murray character jus passed Peyton in some all-time category .. and I saw #1 on the list was Danny Wuerawful :scusthov: and that had me thinking of others who ended up having some all-time record but being :trash: in the pros.. I know son from Wisconsin is the leading rusher and was basura for the Giants.. and even in basketball nikkaz who avg like 20ppg in college rarely get drafted high must less pan out :manny:

Danny was part of the Spurrier system. the Fun and Gun. He was good enough to deliver the ball to wipe open receivers like Anthony and Hilliard.

No different than Graham Harrell and his connection with Crabtree and being part of that AirRaid system. Harrell was accurate in short to intermediate routes but beyond that.... :ehh:

No, stats mean nothing. Look at all the dudes like Chang and Brennan from Hawai'i

Yeah NCAA stats are useless to an extent depends on scheme level of competion how you do at camps and combine and how you measure. :snooze:

NBA is the same deal cats barley get 10pt a game and are top 5 picks. Dudes score 28pt 15rb and are not even lotto picks.

Depends on the stat

Passing yards? Fools gold
Passing tds? Probably too
Recieving yards? Probably legit
Ypc...iffy...
Tackles...legit
Ints...a factor and maybe legit..but good coverage is more difficult gauge
Ints thrown...legit

Dumb thread in a sense cause you can SEE who are pro prospects when you actually WATCH them play, especially quarterbacks.

it really depends on the stat, the system they run, and the talent around said player.

I trust defensive stats more than offensive ones, but you only know forreal by watching game tape.

Accuracy is probably the best stat to start if you are basing a players potential as a passer. Because those outrageous yards and TD's definitely dont translate for the most part.

No what i'm saying is if you WATCHED Matt Ryan play at BC, you KNEW he was great despite the talent around him and his stats. Same with Cutler at Vandy.

If you WATCHED Jimmy Clausen, everybody knew he was going to be trash.

Ryan threw 19 picks as a senior and was drafted 3rd overall.

You see what i'm saying bruh?

accuracy, getting the ball into tight corners, zip on ball all important

joe flacco was drafted in teh first round

from a fcs school and his stats were not even that dominating, 23 tds and 5 ints , 4,200 passing yard going against fcs defenses

exactly. it's the EYE test for QB's. We all knew Tebow wasn't as great as his stats were in college in trying to equate that to his pro prospects

One system that did translate was purdues system in the 00s with drew brees and kyle orton and them...they put up stupid numbers then and they have had preeetty respectable careers

what is accuracy? Do you mean completion percentage?

If so, Tebow was completing 66 percent of his passes in college.
