Are most things that are true and important unintuitive?

Probability, entropy, the logical conditional, quantum mechanics... I found that the more I was educated the more I had to be willing to accept unintuitive concepts and just generally accept that things are infinitely complex and a human being is so limited that the best we will ever be able to do is iterate on models that will never be able to say how things REALLY are. It is a bummer sometimes. :manny:

there is a problem where people doubt things they don't/can't understand

you just have to realize that common sense and intuition can only get you so far

I also think it has a lot to do with 'the ego'. I see it a lot here where people just will not admit they are wrong, no matter what evidence is presented to them

IDK breh, I just see this as an opportunity to keep pushing forward. I wont lie, I have some unrealistic dreams that I want to accomplish in my lifetime.

I just wish more people felt as passionate about these certain subjects as I am.

I often wonder about the limited or lack of perception humans have. For example, we can't see atoms or bacteria with a naked eye, nor can we see in the dark. What would life be like if, our sixth senses were enhanced, ish like that....

its not possible to know everything, and after every discovery we make it opens the doors to even more questions. its what makes the sciences such an interesting subject. there's an infinite amount of information to be discovered.
