.....WWE's version of the Quad Studio shooting? I've noticed that even now most Hip-hop fans tend to pick a side and have their own opinion on what happened that night and The Montreal Screwjob seems to cause similar debates in wrestling even though both events were at least 20 years ago. Both events also undoubtedly changed both industries forever and similar to Pac most people generally take Brets side and quite often unfairly criticise Shawn Michaels (some may say Biggie gets some unfair criticism too). Theres a lot a of other similarities too feel free to post any or I will later.

Also can anyone think of any other wrestling events or wrestlers that remind them of rappers or their careers?

I know it had to hurt Bret though for Vince to pick Shawn over him. I think a lot of wrestlers see Vince as a father figure and think that more than the betrayal is what has Bret so bitter about the whole situation. Bret really lived his gimmick but in reality no one can be the best for ever and by 1997 I think Shawn was the better wrestler with the most promising future. A true superstar you could build a company around.

Yeah shyt felt real it's funny though how much Nash loved Bret though seems only time he had heat with Bret was cause Bret didn't wanna eat a jackknife at ppv but Nash always seems to speak well.

This shyt was classic and this is same era as Austin kane vs taker just popping off pillman doing crazy shyt before his death that shyt alone had more storylines than anything on wwe this year. Think we'll ever see a promo like that explaining reigns vs rollins.
