Are Backup QB's the worst "backups" or "second strings" in all of sports :huhldup:

The drop off from starting QB to backup QB is disgusting

Geez, anything worse than a backup QB?

99% of backups aren't even good. Like I get that starting QBs are elite, but backup QBs so often look like they dont even belong in the league.

Backup Point Guards, Forwards, Centers etc, still look like they belong in their league.

Same with backup pitchers, backup strikers, backup everything, they still look like they belong.


Second string QBs are the equivalent of D-League players if that.

Great QBs are really hard to come by. Hell, Good QBS are hard to come by.

Compound that with the fact that these dudes get ZERO first team reps unless the starter gets injured

They get no first team reps and they don't get subbed in. So they go from never playing or practicing with the best players to all of a sudden being thrown into the fire. But ya AJ McCaron sucks

@ you comparing backup QB's to backup PG's. PG's actually get minutes every night. You can't expect a backup QB to randomly come in and be a star that's not how it works .
Tom Brady was an exception
