System I have now: 6 year old laptop 2GB Memory, AMD Turion 64 X2 
I do a bunch of multitasking things and Im able to run photoshop CS5, dreamweaver and chrome with 15 tabs open then after awhile everything just runs out of memory and slows down to the point where i gotta do a reset if I want to continue
Gonna upgrade now and I have 3 options as Im not trying to break the bank $550 the most
1. Get one of the cheaper laptops with an i3 processor, 4gb and put in a ssd drive.
2. Get a 14 inch Sony Vaio that has the i3, 6gb memory and looks
3. get the beats by dre DV6 with the A8 processor and 6gb memory
I have no idea if processors have maxed out and not necessary if I going to be doing some photoshop, video editing etc...but nothing hardcore.
