It's really happening. Apple will hold an event on October 23rd to announce the long-rumored, smaller iPad. At least, that's what an invitation just sent out from Apple PR suggests. An iPad with a smaller screen size has been rumored for months, and the company almost certainly wants to announce the product before the holiday buying season to compete with cheaper tablets like the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 — and of course put the hurt on Microsoft's big Surface release.

Not saying its bad, but the Nexus 7 is still cheaper and could possible go even cheaper at $99. I don't doubt the Istans that own an Iphone, Itouch, and Ipad will still be standing in line to get this thing.

I mean sh*t, PopCap pretty much is limited to the games they can put on android cause apple got them in that choke hold

honestly if they have the same processor as the 5, and the high res screen i'd cop. I'm not a fan of the size and weight of the current ipad, so if this one is much lighter and easier to hold i'd cop.
I just have the 4 and i doubt i'll update anytime soon from the phone side of things

My iPad 1 is showing its age hard but not sure if I wanna shell out 500plus tax for the new one so Id cop the 250 model for reading
